about katie rose

Hi, I'm Katie
Trauma therapy has been my life for years now. I began my career working with survivors of sexual violence and have since expanded to work with survivors of domestic violence, spiritual and religious abuse, relational trauma, and more. Every day I'm reminded what an honor it is to do this work and walk with people through some of the hardest moments of their lives.
Trauma Therapy Services
Specialized support for trauma recovery
Spiritual Trauma Counseling
Navigating spiritual or religious trauma can be scary and isolating. It might feel like you've lost your community and all your support. It may cause you to question your entire belief system. I help people process the hurt and untangle the beliefs to find what makes sense and what needs to go. I will never pressure you to rejoin or leave a faith, but will walk with you as you make that decision for yourself.
Relational Trauma Therapy
Relational trauma can show up in many forms. Sometimes it's a romantic relationship, sometimes a parent or a friend. It often leaves you feeling betrayed and afraid to engage in relationships anymore. Together we'll work through the pain and find new ways to engage in healthy, fulfilling relationships.
Sexual Trauma Recovery
Life after sexual trauma can be scary. It might feel like you'll never trust again. You might feel disconnected from your body. Creating a safe space for your nervous system to rest, I'll work with you at your own pace to sort through the trauma and find a life that feels whole and connected.
Holistic Healing Approach
Through a holistic approach, I integrate various therapeutic techniques to address their unique experiences and traumas. Using techniques like talk therapy, somatic practices, and creative narrative or story-telling, we will work together to create an approach that suits you and your needs. My goal is to empower clients on their journey toward recovery, fostering resilience and hope for a brighter future.
Healing For All
I believe therapy should be a place where everyone feels seen and accepted. I welcome people of all genders, sexualities, body sizes, relationship styles, religions, and belief systems. My approach is affirming, sex-positive, and grounded in the belief that mental health care is a human right and that everyone deserves a space to heal.
